The weight of a track is used by our random selector for choosing the next tracks to be broadcasted. The higher the weight, the more likely it will be chosen. But this weight is only an indication. An other important value is the Balance and Score. We reset the weight value for about twice a year. When a track is requested by some listener the server will add 10 points to the track weight. Every time a track is being played the weight will be reduced by 5 points. At the time of this writing we didn't have build any mechanism to set a maximum at the weight of a track.
