 The Greek Medieval/Martial act DARK AWAKE was
formed in 2001 by Shelmerdine. Not till 2005 did they produce any
recorded output, with their self-released demo CD "Bleeding Silence",
featuring Elina P. on ethereal vocals. DARK AWAKE has contributed to
various compilations since, incl. a track for "Audiobook 1" (released
in 2006) with a cover on the Celtic Lullaby "All The Pretty Little
Horses" which demonstrated ethereal vocals and a mystical background.
This, their debut album, is mystical, avant-garde art with a
majestic/pompous feeling which explores macabre fantasies from the
nocturnal macrocosm of the imagination. The sound of DARK AWAKE is not
just a piece of art... it is the ritual of life as a sacrifice of will
towards the totality of infinite possibility! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
