Time to give some credits to the people behind the screens of the Radio Stream server we are using after our reboot in June 2021.
GothVille is using Azuracast, the Open Source Radio Management tool where we control the music and shows that are being broadcasted on our online radio station. GothVille is a Non-Profit organization, without these people and their effort, this all wasn't possible !!!
Today (19/02/2023), we updated our streaming server again to the latest version. It is always exiting to do this job, because an error is quickly made.
We decided to use this open source software because it was promising and stable enough to built upon. For this, we save GothVille some money because the licensing for broadcasting is also costing a lot.
In the meantime, we succeeded to integrate Stereotool, the best sound enhancement tool for audio out there...
Somehow we could ask you people to donate some money to this project. Supporting them to keep this going. Even while the donations to GothVille can also use a bit more...
Last year we received € 52,00 in donations. Comparing this with the annual cost of € 1.600,00 in licensing, and about € 1.800,00 in hosting, and about € 1.000,00 on subscriptions of streaming services. The website and radio server is costing the volunteers personal money. We surely want to thank those who did, but also want to encourage those who didn't.

To keep the stream alive for everyone...
Currently, there is no limit on the number of listeners. But when this year we do not receive more donations, we need to limit the stream to 25 simultaneous listeners. And those who donated will get a password protected link for guaranteed access to the radio.
At this moment, the average simultaneous listeners are around 20 streams. With now and then peaking to 40 streams. This figure is growing steady, at some point the average will reach 25 streams, at that time we need to decide to limit the streams or to raise our license. For that, there is need for more donations. With every month around 4000 to 6000 unique and regular listeners, we would like to think the donations should be sufficient if only about 450 people donated € 10,00 in a year...
Anyhow, we are enjoying ourselves of course, and that alone is also worth some money...
